I'M IN HONDURAS Dallin October 28, 2015

Honduras

I made it! Good news is that this place isn't as bad as it sounds in the US. Most of the missionaries haven't had anybody mug them or anything. The gangs actually like us and protect us so that's cool. It is so hot here. Like permanent sauna all the time, day and night. I can't even express how hot it is.
Supposedly we're entering the cool season as well... Honduras is crazy though. Driving is the most wild thing I have ever experienced. There are barely any rules and everyone is a very aggressive driver. I won't lie, its really fun to jump in a mototaxi and fly around. First two nights I have been kind of bouncing around because we arrived earlier than the other new missionaries. I already helped teach some lessons and that was fun. It is so hard to understand the people though. They speak in a slur most of the time.
I have a super awesome companion. His name is Elder Hadley. We're both super pumped to work together. We are reopening a new area so it´s a fresh start. We ended up with the ´´nicest house in the mission´´ which I can't complain at all. Things are going well so far. I´ve eaten a ton of new food and am by no means starving. Tons of nice missionaries. Probably gonna have to take bucket showers though so that's fun. Washing clothes on a scrub board doesn't really make sense but it seems to work. everything is pretty different here but I´m down for it. There's been a ton of poverty and that's been the hardest part for sure. Its an incredibly beautiful country. My area is about 2-3 hours from San Pedro Sula from where I started. It´s called Copan. Thanks for your support and love. I'm happy and excited to get this started.

Selfie taken after the first day. Multiple people told me to drink water and go to bed haha.
