MEXICO CITY MTC Weston-October 29, 2015

FIRST WEEK IN MEXICO

Alright so I'm in a little bit of a hurry so don't be surprised at any typos or non capital letters during this but I'm doing GREAT! having a ton of fun! The first few days were a bit of roller coaster for me and as you all know, I hate roller coasters haha;)

Last Wednesday I woke up at two am and went to the airport with my dad and we accidentally put all of my soap, shaving cream and toothpaste in my carry on so they took that away from me and I didn't have time to go back through and check them in as a bag, long story short I make it to the Mexico City airport in one piece and I can't find one of my bags at the airport or anybody there who speaks English, not even any of the missionaries. Then it dawned on me that, thanks to my mom, I knew Spanish!! well kinda, anyways it turns out one of my bags never made it out of SLC. Luckily I had the suitcase with my mission clothes so I did alright. The airport delivered the bag to me the next day and nobody went through it so that was good! the only problem was that they left their lock on the bag... as any other eighteen year old kid would do I stomped the crap out of it for roughly 20 min until I realized that it was just a little dinky wire going through the zippers and back into the box, 3 twists later,it broke right off--haha. This is my messy bedroom selfie with MY COMPANION Elder Wirthlin.

Anyways this past week has been pretty awesome! They immediately through me into lessons with progressing investigators with a companion the second day I was here! It was pretty cool actually because I somehow remembered all ten years of Spanish all at once. Gift of tongues is REAL! hah--so real that I've started to learn Tongan while I'm here. This is the classroom selfie where I am 12 hours a day. Elder kinikini is pictured. Elder Kinikini and Elder Vi (going to orem on his mission) are teaching me basic conversation phrases and church vocabulary that I'm surprisingly picking up on super quick! Elder Vi can eat ice cream like you'll never see. He´s just under 300 pounds and it might just be the most entertaining thing to watch him and elder Kinikini have an eating contest cause they both just put it DOWN. Speaking of the food, if you want to call it food.. haha its not the best! Lets just say I almost had real tears on Cosco pizza tuesday! Best night of my life! jkjk

But I miss you all! I'm dying to know how the hunts are going! Feel free to write me and questions or even if you just feel like writing me cause i love it! Don't send mail because by the time it gets to me, I'll be in Wisconsin! It takes 5 weeks for a letter and don't even bother with a package! And once I figure out pictures I'll send them to you guys! Love you all, PEACE!
