How's it hangin? Well, not a whole lot happened this week but one big thing so let's hop to it!
Monday, talked to a guy named Dennis, he sits on his porch some nights and we just talk, he's cool and an army vet it's awesome.
Tuesday, things went down. After District meeting me and Elder Shepherd went on exchanges to my area so it was time to get some stuff done and that's what we did! Our first three appointments, we came out with them on date for Oct 1st and one was a hispanic family of 4! Also gave the mom a blessing for her surgery so she can heal up. The following day one of them did drop us, Tim, and so that kind of sucked but we're all good! Got to play some b-ball Tuesday night as well so that was tight!
Got Elder Burgon back Thursday morning cause it was a new month and we went back to contact and old potential we had found and had a great in depth lesson on the restoration it was pretty legit, her name is Kim and she is on date for Oct 15th now! I feel good about her too!
Wednesday during exchanges an old potential me and DeSantis found randomly called us and wanted to meet. His name is Aaron and he's 27. Needs some direction in life, watched "The Hope Of Gods Light" on the mormon channel and felt that God told him to call us so he did! Had another great lesson with him Friday and now he's on a date for Oct 15th!
Saturday we went to contact a girl who is going to school at UW Whitewater and when she came out she accidentally locked herself out of the building. After like 45 minutes of waiting it out and some good talk about why she aint going to church I got tired of fiddle fartin' and found my way into the building. She doubted me but if Neves taught me anything it's how to climb a balcony haha I climbed right up no problem and we were set! Here's a pic of it! haha
It was real easy.
Labor day was fun, had a cook out (Brats, Burgers and Steak) with the Earle family. They are legit! Brother Earle has been in so many car crashes it's not even funny but hey like I've said, no scars, no stories.
Good things are happening here in Lake Mills! Saw my first hint of fall colors and I'm excited about it! Work is going good and the weather should be cooling off soon! Just a reminder to you all I'm not that close to my year mark! haha It doesn't bug me but I still haven't made it to 11 months! Not even close actually but just so you know, Oct 21st is my year mark!
