¿Ey chikis que tal? Dallin Poulson 9/3/2016

On Sunday, we had Ward Conference. It was really great and we had a lot more people come to church. Mina, our investigator came all on her own! Also has friends in the church and hardly talks to us! I'm okay with it!

We sang Battle Hymn of the Republic as part of the choir and I learned how to sing in parts! Pretty dang difficult for me! But it was really cool. My companion couldn't come because about 20 minutes before church he said he was dizzy. I gave him a glass of water annnnnd BLEH! He threw up like 20 times. So we let him stay with Elder Correa, who was supposed to stay in bed and rest. So it kinda worked out! He got better by Monday.

On Monday night the nurse called me at about 9:30 asking for a ride to the hospital cause Sister Bueso was on her way with an appendicitis! We gave her a ride and she said that she would call later to give the other sisters there a ride to the house so they could rest. I woke up to a call at 1:30 am! So we had to be a bit of a midnight taxi service but it all turned out okay! Sister Bueso got a surgery and is doing fine now. That's three appendicitis' that we've had in 3 months(too many tortillas :D )

Throughout the week we helped companionships change houses and we made some deliveries. We got to work in the area a lot more this week so it was nice! We mostly just contacted but it was nice to get some more work out in the area.

We found a really cool older couple that let us come in and chat and explain to them what we do. The husband had a Book of Mormon from when the missionaries visited him 35 years ago! He didn't know where but he still remembered the missionaries name! Really cool and nice people.

Something I have noticed during these last two weeks of a bit of a crazy schedule was that I missed a couple days of scripture study. I realized it because I was just feeling a bit unconcentrated as a missionary! I couldn't really figure it out but when i did, I made a little promise to myself to never go another day on the mission without reading out of the scriptures. It really makes every day so much better and helps us in more ways than just doctrinal knowledge. A little challenge to all of you read something out of the scriptures every day. Read until you learn something!

Aside from that, not too much else to share!

Love you all, ¡hasta luego!  Dallin
